Asian Palm Civet
Kopi Luwak is one of the most well-known types of coffee in the world. It's unique taste is attributed to the animal seen here, the Asian palm civet. These tree dwelling, cat-like creatures eat the coffee beans before they're ripe. As they pass through the animal's digestive tract, certain chemical reactions take place that change the taste of the coffee the beans will eventually produce. After nature takes its course, coffee farmers roam through the jungles and collect the beans straight from the animal's droppings.
